In recent years Gerneral Sir Mike has stirred up very serious controversy through his vocal criticism of way the British military is run, accusing the Ministry of Defence of disloyalty to its troops and questioning the armed forces ability to meet strategic threats in the face of governm,ent policy. He also caused an international stir with a withering attack on US policy in post-war Iraq.

Tonight General Sir Mike will talk about contemporary strategic issues, and how the Britain must adapt militarily and politically in order to face them.
