Jack Hamilton is a writer and journalist. In 2006 he worked with a
Channel 5 documentary Umbrella Assassin - Revealed, tracking down the
prime suspect in the murder of Georgi Markov, the Bulgarian defector who
was attacked on Waterloo Bridge by an umbrella-wielding assassin in
1978. His book on Bulgaria, The Good Balkans was published in Sofia at
the end of 2006 and will soon be published in the UK. Having learnt
Arabic he is currently researching a book about Arabs in London. He also translates Bulgarian contemporary poetry.
