Alison Weir is one of Britain's best-loved and most-read popular historians. Her books include Britain's Royal Families, The Six Wives of Henry VIII, Children of England, Eleanor of Aquitaine, Henry VIII: King and Court, Mary, Queen of Scots and most recently, Isabella: she-wolf of France.
A contributor to TV shows such as Time Team and Imagine, she has this year ventured into the world of fiction with the succesful Innocent Traitor, which retells the final days of Lady Jane Grey. She lives and works in Surrey.
